Biography

Anna was born July 12th 1977 and grew up in rural Devon, England.  Her interest in complementary health began at a young age when she discovered the holistic health systems of homeopathy and acupuncture.  Natural health has a philosophy of reverence for the power in nature and this led to an interest in the culture of ancient peoples who had viewed the earth as sacred.   Anna studied Celtic Literature at the University of Edinburgh.

Four years in an academic setting brought Anna to the realization that she wanted to follow a more vocational path.  Her interest in plants and the power of touch led her to study Holistic Aromatherapy and Massage at the School of Holistic Therapies in Bristol in 2001.  Since completing the diploma Anna has built up a range of other healing skills and a great deal of practical experience.

Anna gained a practitioner qualification in Flower and Gem Essence Therapy in 2005.  She uses the Bach flowers essences but also has the Alaskan Gem Essence set, the Living Tree Orchid set and the FES Quintessential set.  In order to build on her consultation skills she has recently completed a Diploma in Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy and has a certificate in Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

Anna’s Massage practice in Devon included work with severely mentally and physically disabled adults, elderly and terminally ill clients, pregnant women and people of all ages and walks of life.  She has worked at various festivals during the summer months offering treatments inside a beautiful 18ft tipi.  More recently Anna has offered Aromatherapy Massage and Flower Remedies at Natural Roots non-toxic hair salon and holistic treatment centre in Glastonbury.

In 2008 Anna began a four-year practitioner course in Homeopathic medicine at the School of Homeopathy in Devon.  Her vision for the future is to provide a holistic health service for pregnant women so that they can give birth as naturally and as painlessly as possible.
